Our Mission
Where Compassion Meets Conservation
At the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, we offer medical care, safety, and recovery for injured or abandoned wildlife. From songbirds and squirrels to foxes and owls, our mission is to give every wild creature a second chance. Nestled within the protected Highland Farm Park Nature Preserve, we combine hands-on rehabilitation with conservation education to inspire the next generation of wildlife stewards.
How It Works
Rescue & Medical Care
We intake wildlife from local rescues, vet clinics, and good samaritans. Our facilities provide triage, care, and recovery with expert oversight.
Habitat & Recovery
Animals recover in naturalized outdoor enclosures that simulate their wild environments, preparing them for safe reintroduction.
Release & Education
When ready, they return to the wild. Visitors and volunteers learn from each journey—building empathy, awareness, and action.
Volunteer or Intern
You Can Help Heal a Hawk. Comfort a Kit. Release a Raccoon.
Whether you’re a student, animal lover, or future wildlife rehabilitator, your time can change a life. Volunteers assist with feedings, enrichment, habitat care, and education. Internships offer deeper, hands-on experience for those pursuing animal science or conservation.
How It Works
Become a Wildlife Guardian
Support an animal in care with a one-time or monthly donation. You’ll receive updates, photos, and a certificate of guardianship. Perfect as a gift or classroom project!
