Nestled along the edge of Highland Farm Park’s woodlands, the Wildroots Outpost & Garden is more than just a place — it’s a living forest classroom, wildlife sanctuary, and adventure hub all rolled into one.
This forest-focused zone was designed to inspire awe, awaken curiosity, and equip visitors of all ages with real-world knowledge of nature, wildlife, and survival. Whether you’re a young explorer, a lifelong learner, or a nature lover, Wildroots offers a journey that transforms the way you see the world around you.

The Forest Education Center
A hand-built woodland pavilion where school groups, homeschoolers, and adults alike take part in eco-literacy workshops, forest ecology sessions, and guest-led classes.
The Trapper’s Cottage
Step back in time in this cozy log structure and learn the survival skills of early woodland settlers — from foraging and shelter-building to old-world cooking and fire-starting.
